I've not deserted the intertubes yet. Work has been very brutal the last few weeks, almost legendary.
Here is a quick gaming update. I picked up Modern Warfare 2. Love the game, lots of grinding to unlock different weapons and to level up your character. I picked up a copy of Battlefield Bad Company 2 for the Xbox 360. Another great FPS game with a slightly different slant, which makes them similar but yet very different games in my opinion. BFBC2 lets you form squads and you get experience for staying together, killing foes and completing objectives. Imagine that, a game that fosters co operation. Course to unlock a lot of the weapons and special gear you have to grind your way through several matches earning experience. Weird how FPS games have adopted the MMO style of play by letting you gather experience to get access to epic gear, I mean, new guns and accessories.
I also have been working my DS a bit lately. I purchased my very first Pokémon game recently, HeartGold. A refab of a previously released Gameboy Color game. So far I'm loving it. I've put in close to 8 hours in the two days since purchase, which is a lot for me when I'm at home surrounded by my PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. I have to say, leveling up each of your little pokemon pets is fun, except for the fact that you have to pretty much grind out each level by fighting other trainers and wild pokemons. Still its a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the Pokémon series once I finish this one.
That's about it for now. I hope to post more in the next week if possible. Usually I'd be doing NCAA basketball, but we got lucky and we aren't doing it this year. YEAH for me!
